Alabama’s big day on the recruiting trail just got even better — and bigger.

Five-star offensive tackle prospect Evan Neal, who checks in at taller than 6-foot-7 and weighs 360 pounds, signed with the Crimson Tide during a live commitment ceremony Wednesday on ESPNU. Neal gave Nick Saban’s 2019 recruiting class another 5-star member after IMG Academy teammate and top running back prospect Trey Sanders picked Alabama earlier in the day.

ESPN recruiting analyst Gerry Hamilton tweeted a clip of Neal’s announcement, which you can view below.

Neal chose Alabama over SEC rivals Georgia and Florida as well as home-state schools Florida State and Miami.

According to 247Sports.com’s composite ratings, Neal is the third-best 2019 player in the fertile recruiting grounds of Florida. He’s also the No. 5 offensive tackle and No. 20 overall prospect, according to the website.

Neal’s commitment further cements the Crimson Tide’s No. 1 recruiting class ranking. Aside from Neal and Sanders, Alabama landed a third 5-star prospect in defensive end Antonio Alfano from New Jersey.
