Entering the season as one of the top teams in college football (with most sites ranking them No. 1 overall), the Alabama Crimson Tide are setting themselves up for another dominant year.

That means Alabama will be heavily favored against almost every team they play this fall, but USA TODAY’s Danny Sheridan said on The Paul Finebaum Show on Thursday that he expects one team from the SEC to only be single-digit underdogs to the Crimson Tide:

Granted, Sheridan is saying that the Crimson Tide will still be favored in that game — just not by as much as they will be against every other team.

Currently, OddsShark.com has Alabama listed as 3.5-point favorites over Auburn, while the Crimson Tide are favored by 11 points over LSU.

The Iron Bowl is always a hotly contested affair, though, so even when there’s a huge discrepancy in where the teams are ranked, the game often ends up being close.

However, with QB Jarrett Stidham in the mix to help the Auburn offense take the next step forward, this year’s rivalry game could be one of the best games of the SEC season.
