Former Alabama RB Bo Scarbrough got his first taste of NFL football Thursday night.

The Cowboys played the 49ers in the preseason opener, and Scarbrough led Dallas in rushing. He carried nine times for 33 yards and one TD.

In the second quarter with Dallas already leading 7-0, Scarbrough ripped off his first long NFL run. Later in the drive he scored his first rushing TD to take the 14-0 lead.

Dallas drafted Scarbrough in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL Draft, and he’s fighting for an active roster position in camp. Ezekiel Elliott is Dallas’ lead back, and Rod Smith is presumed the backup. More preseason runs like this will certainly help Scarbrough.
