The matchup between Alabama and Texas has been much closer than anyone saw coming in Week 2 action, with the Longhorns holding the lead over the Crimson Tide for an amount of time that had to have made head coach Nick Saban uncomfortable.

But, at least for now, that is no longer the case thanks to this touchdown toss from Alabama quarterback Bryce Young to running back Jahmyr Gibbs on 1st & goal. Obviously this was shorter pass so it wasn’t the distance that made it impressive, but rather the scrambling ability and ability to extend a play and make something positive of it on Young’s part.

The scoring pass gave the Crimson Tide the 17-16 lead they continue to hold onto with roughly five minutes remaining in what has been nothing short of a strange contest. Young has completed 22-of-32 passes for 172 yard with one touchdown.
