No. 4 USC slipped up in the Pac-12 title game, but Chris ‘The Bear’ Fallica doesn’t think that No. 6 Alabama will be the team to capitalize in the College Football Playoff.

USC dropped to 11-2 with the 47-24 loss to No. 11 Utah on Friday. Fallica took to Twitter on Saturday morning in defense of undefeated No. 3 TCU. Fallica believes regardless of the outcome in the Big 12 title game, TCU has earned the right to be in the CFP.

Fallica thinks if TCU had a bigger brand, there wouldn’t be a debate about its status.

“If TCU had an Oklahoma or Texas logo on its helmet, there would be zero doubt it was in- win or lose today – after a 12-0 regular season which included nine conference games,” Fallica said. “This talk of two-loss Bama jumping them with a loss is pure nonsense.”

Alabama went 10-2 in the regular season and finished second place in an SEC West that features 3 ranked teams. Meanwhile, the entire Big 12 currently has 3 ranked teams. TCU has won 8 of its games by 10 points or less.

Meanwhile, No. 5 Ohio State is celebrating with the hopes they’ll be the benefactor of USC’s blunder.

The final CFP rankings before the postseason will be announced on Dec. 4 at noon EST.
