Former Alabama OLB Christian Miller was a fourth-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, going to the Carolina Panthers.

As he prepares for his rookie season in Charlotte, he’s taking a lot of the lessons he learned in Tuscaloosa to the pro ranks.

During an appearance on WFNZ’s “Wilson and Parcell” show, Miller credited coach Nick Saban for having him ready for NFL action (via 247Sports):

“It taught me to be a pro. The way we approach our meetings, the mindset that we have to have when we come to work every day,” said Miller. “So I think it taught me that, and just ultimately how to be a good person, a good teammate, and to come to work every day and do what I need to do to contribute. Whether it’s learning that day or coaching some guys, whatever they need me to do, that’s what I’m gonna do. And that’s what I ultimately learned from playing at Alabama.”

Miller had eight sacks last fall for the Tide, and he’ll have a chance to earn playing time for the Panthers this year.

He knows how to prepare and work hard, which the Panthers will appreciate. Now, it’s just about showing the talent on the field that made him a Round 4 pick.
