Derrick Henry doesn’t even have a signed contract to play next NFL season but that isn’t going to stop the Tennessee Titan star from slowing down this offseason.

If you missed the news this week, the Titans have placed the franchise tag on Henry following his outstanding 2019 season on the field. Henry has not yet signed the deal while his representatives continue to work with the Titans on a long-term deal.

That news likely confirms Henry will be staying in Nashville for at least the 2020 season but the running back could still be traded by Tennessee. Doing so would cost another team a pair of first-round draft picks, however, so a trade seems unlikely at this time.

Don’t think for a second that Henry has gotten complacent this offseason after leading the NFL in rushing in 2019 after registering 1,540 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns during the regular season and another 446 yards and two touchdowns in three playoff games for the Titans.

Thanks to the coronavirus outbreak, Henry’s gym may be closed but that didn’t stop the NFL’s best running back from getting in his workout. No sir, Henry simply took his workout to the parking lot.
