This year’s national championship game has led to some complaints about “fatigue” over Alabama and Clemson playing in the College Football Playoffs for four straight seasons.

But David Pollack doesn’t subscribe to that train of thought.

The former Georgia standout and current ESPN analyst appeared on Monday’s edition of “The Dan Patrick Show” to shoot down those notions just hours ahead of the national title clash. You can listen to part of the segment below.

First, Pollack offers a blunt message to those tired of seeing the Crimson Tide and Tigers compete for national championships every year — “Get better. Beat them.”

He went on to compare the teams’ recent showdowns to the Yankees-Red Sox clashes of the 2000s and the recent series of NBA Finals between the Warriors and Cavaliers. Patrick agreed that fans should have nothing to complain about when the two best teams face each other for a title at any level of any sport.

“You want to have the two best teams face each other, and you have that tonight,” Patrick said.

No. 1 Alabama (14-0) and No. 2 Clemson (14-0) will face off at 8 p.m. ET in Santa Clara, California.
