Deion Sanders’ style of coaching is about as far as one can get from Nick Saban’s approach. The Alabama and Jackson State head coaches recently filmed a series of Aflac commercials together, and Sanders says he learned a lot from Saban.

“Just being on the set with Coach Saban for a couple days. I took my staff members with me to meet with his staff members (and learn) from them. I learned so much, just the subtle things he said, just the subtle approaches that he responded to was phenomenal,” Sanders recently said on CBS Sports HQ, per 247Sports.

Subtle is the last word anyone would use to describe Coach Prime. We’ll see if Sanders’ time around Saban leads to a change in his approach to coaching. One of Saban’s assistants also left a positive impression on Sanders recently.

“One of his coaches, assistant head coach, by the way, came down to my coach’s seminar that I had at my home, coach Charles Kelly,” Sanders said on CBS Sports HQ. “It was phenomenal. They are committed and submitted to winning in every facet of their program, not just what you see on the field but the grounds crew, the dietary needs, the training, equipment staff, everybody’s committed to excellence. And that’s something that we want too and we have a desire to echo.”
