DeMarcco Hellams suffered a thigh bruise during Alabama’s game against New Mexico State, left the game and didn’t return.

“And I’m healthy, thank you for your concern #RollTide,” he tweeted.

Coach Nick Saban said after the game that Hellams could have gone back in the game, but the coaching staff held him out as a precaution in the 59-3 game.

He made one tackle in the game, but for the season before Saturday, he had 47 tackles, which was fourth on the team, with 2 interceptions and a quarterback hurry.

Alabama finishes the regular season against Arkansas next week, and at Auburn on Nov. 27.
