It’s a neck-and-neck race for the Heisman Trophy, and the potential to become to No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft for that matter, between Bryce Young and CJ Stroud.

The Alabama quarterback and the Ohio State signal-caller have both appeared as top dog in different sets of quarterback rankings throughout the offseason and it’s going to be interesting to see who outperforms the other with the season quickly approaching.

According to Caesars Sportsbook, Stroud is the current favorite to take home the Heisman Trophy (+200) over Young (+430). Heisman Trophy winner Desmond Howard is among those who think Stroud should be behind Young when it comes to the odds:

“I don’t think anyone should be the frontrunner besides Bryce Young,” Howard said. “Because he’s the returning winner of the Heisman. So I don’t think CJ Stroud or anyone else should even be neck and neck with Bryce Young.”

If Young is able to take home the honors yet again this season, he will become just the second player in history to win the trophy multiple times.

He finished out the 2021 season with a 66.9% completion rate, 4,872 passing yards, 47 touchdowns and 7 interceptions.
