Former Alabama standouts Eddie Jackson and Ha Ha Clinton-Dix are now teammates with the Chicago Bears.

Clinton-Dix signed with the Bears this off-season, thanks in part to the help of Jackson. He had a simple message for Clinton-Dix, “It’s just like Bama.” …“I told him, this defense is just like Bama.”

That made it an easy decision for Clinton-Dix, “I was ready to sign.”

The Bears signed Clinton-Dix to a one-year, $3 million deal, which creates a nice safety tandem for Chicago’s defense.

Of course, the duo played together in Tuscaloosa for the 2013 season — Jackson’s first season and Clinton-Dix’s final season. Now, the duo is hoping to rekindle some magic.

Clinton-Dix is already enjoying his new teammates, too, as the Bears just wrapped up three weeks of OTA practices.

“It’s about a brotherhood,” Clinton-Dix said. “All these guys are so close to one another. We spend so much time with each other outside this facility. That’s amazing. You don’t find too many guys that can hang out together outside of this and create a bond. … I was in for a shock, man. They’re special here.”

Ironically, the former Alabama duo will be coached by former Alabama DB Deshea Townsend.
