Collin Sexton has been one of the best players in the SEC this season, averaging 18.1 points per game (good for third in the SEC).

The Alabama freshman point guard has shown an intense competitive streak and the ability to play with anyone in the country.

For those reasons, ESPN analyst Jimmy Dykes, a former Arkansas women’s coach, said he thinks Sexton should be the first guard selected in the 2018 NBA Draft:

That’s an interesting take, because Luka Doncic and Trae Young are currently projected to be selected ahead of him by NBADraft.net.

Sexton will have plenty of eyes on him as the season winds down, and a big performance in the SEC Tournament and NCAA Tournament could lead to him proving Dykes right.
