Ho-hum. Alabama trashed another opponent Saturday 47-23. This time it was an SEC program in South Carolina.

Tua Tagovailoa threw for a career-high 444 yards and five touchdowns. He continues his assault on Alabama’s record book. While the passing game is certainly tops in the nation, the running game is somewhat of a concern. The Tide rushed for just 76 yards, and the offensive line was having trouble blocking the Gamecocks’ defensive line and creating any running room for the backs. That’s something to keep an eye on moving forward.

There aren’t too many teams that can give the Tide a close game. LSU and Georgia come to mind in the SEC. We’ll also throw Auburn in there for the Iron Bowl, too, knowing the caliber of its defense. Outside of those three, it may be smooth sailing for the Tide.
