This week, news broke that former Alabama DB Minkah Fitzpatrick had requested he be traded by the Miami Dolphins. Now there is a report that another former Crimson Tide standout could be traded by Miami.

Per ProFootballTalk, Jay Glazer reported on FOX’s Sunday NFL pregame show that the Dolphins are talking to teams about trades involving Drake. While Glazer is considered to be one of the best-connected NFL insiders in the business, it’s important to note that Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald is reporting otherwise, saying Miami has not had any discussions about trading the former UA running back, per a team source. He further reported that Drake has not requested a trade.

Miami selected Drake in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He was signed to a four-year, $3.5 million deal as a rookie. In three-plus seasons, Drake has played in 49 games, rushing the ball 290 times for 1,370 yards (4.7 yards per carry) and nine touchdowns. He has also caught 96 passes for 777 yards (8.1 yards per catch) and six touchdowns. Drake played in Miami’s 2019 season opener, logging four carries for 12 yards and two catches for 15 yards.
