Former Alabama do-it-all back Jalston Fowler was waived by the Seattle Seahawks Sunday, the team announced via release.

Fowler had played with the Tennessee Titans for the last three seasons. He signed a revenue/future contract with Seattle in January, and his departure leaves the team with just one fullback on the roster. Just prior to his release, Fowler had suffered from a hamstring injury.

The Titans originally drafted Fowler in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL Draft. In three career seasons with the Titans, Fowler played in eight games and recorded just 10 carries for 20 yards and two TDs.

Fowler played five years at Alabama, including the 2011 and 2012 BCS National Championship teams, and he did a little bit of everything — blocking, rushing and receiving. Known primarily as a fullback, Fowler was also a weapon in the running game and receiving game. During his Alabama career, Fowler rushed for 738 yards and five TDs, while catching 19 passes for 150 yards and seven TDs.
