Jameson Williams is back and ready to get to work with the Detroit Lions.
He was reinstated Monday along with Tennessee Titans offensive tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere. The NFL shortened its punishment for violating gambling policy Friday.
When Williams was asked about what it was like not being able to help his team, he revealed that one of the toughest days was the season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs.
“I only had one bad day. It was probably against Kansas City. I watched that game, it was the first game of the season,” said Williams. “After that, I watched every game in the same spot in the house. I guess that one was hard for me since it was the first game of the season. After that, it calmed down and we had some good days.”

Williams was originally supposed to be suspended for six games. The updated punishment suspends players for two games for gambling inside of an NFL facility on non-NFL sports.
There’s no telling how much Williams will be used on Sunday. Detroit faces the Carolina Panthers, who are still looking for their first win. The Lions are 3-1 and in first place in the NFC North.
It sounds like Williams is glad to be back.
