College football world heartbroken over injury to Jaylen Waddle
Alabama star receiver and legitimate Heisman Trophy candidate Jaylen Waddle was injured on the opening kickoff against Tennessee. Waddle appeared to get his ankle rolled up on the tackle.
Waddle immediately left the game and went to the locker room with the help of trainers while putting no weight on his leg. CBS Sports later showed Waddle leaving Neyland Stadium in an ambulance and headed to the hospital for further evaluation.
Following the devastating injury, the football world reacted:

Please don’t take Jaylen Waddle from us, injury gods.

Sad to see Jaylen Waddle loaded into an ambulance. Had hoped his ankle injury returning the opening kickoff wouldn’t be that serious. CFB and @AlabamaFTBL lose one of its’ most exciting playmakers. Always a debate: do you risk your best players returning kicks and punts?

Imma be honest.. it’s gonna suck if that’s the last time we see Jaylen Waddle on a football field for Alabama.

I offer up my healthy ankle to Jaylen Waddle. I literally do not need it. I can hop around for the rest of my life it’s FINE. pic.twitter.com/2WMlTO9BUV

I’m going to be legitimately upset is Jaylen Waddle is seriously injured. He’s one of the most exciting receivers I’ve ever watched. Hate it so much for him. Hope he’s okay.
