John Parker Wilson talked about Bryce Young’s performance at his Pro Day outing on Thursday.

Young is a top prospect in next month’s NFL draft and he showcased his talents in front of several teams. Young’s Pro Day could result in the Carolina Panthers taking Young with the No. 1 overall draft pick. In an appearance on WJOX 94.5 FM’s McElroy and Cubelic in the Morning, Parker Wilson was asked about what he would have done in Young’s place at a Pro Day.

“Bryce just goes out there and shows his personality, let these guys talk to him. They saw him at the Combine, but just show all of these head coaches and GMs what you’re getting with a first round pick. They know he can throw and they have seen all of his tapes,” Parker Wilson said.

Parker Wilson was impressed with Young’s college career and how it will translate to the NFL. He recounted a time when Saban addressed the questions surrounding Young’s height and physical measurements.

“I really liked one of Coach Saban’s comments talking about Bryce’s height when he said, ‘Go ask the other teams if it was a problem that he was a little bit shorter than everyone else on the field.'”

Young is expected to be one of the first names called in the 2023 NFL Draft.
