Nate Oats has reportedly received some good news for his 2019-20 squad.

Cecil Hurt of the Tuscaloosa News reports that James Rojas, a top JUCO transfer has reportedly completed his academic requirements to be admitted to the University of Alabama and is arriving on campus Friday. Hurt referred to Rojas, listed at 6-8, 215 pounds, as a power forward, but the 247Sports Composite rates the Hutchinson Community College transfer as the No. 1 JUCO small forward in the 2019 class. Rojas is the No. 4 JUCO transfer overall nationally for the 2019 class.

For Rojas, it’s all about playing for Oats. He had planned to play for Oats at Buffalo. He is late to join Oats’ squad due to SEC rules regarding the completion of certain courses.

“The SEC has a rule that your math, English and science have to be taken in class and he had taken some of those classes online, planning to come to us at Buffalo,” Oats told The Gary Harris Show on 102.9 FM in May, per Bama OnLine.
