Former USC head coach and current Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin is apparently still very unpopular on the West Coast.

According to USC beat writer Zach Helfand, Kiffin was made the punchline of a joke told by a Southwest flight attendant during a flight from Los Angeles, California to Salt Lake City, Utah.

Kiffin coached at USC from 2010-2013 and led the Trojans to a 28-15 (17-12 Pac-12). He was unceremoniously fired by former USC Athletics Director Pat Haden when the team arrived back in Los Angeles hours after a 62-41 loss to Arizona State. Kiffin was called off the team bus and taken into a small room inside the terminal where he was told that he was being dismissed.

His tenure at USC followed one seasons as Tennessee’s head coach. The Volunteer faithful still have animosity toward the now Alabama offensive coordinator and would likely find humor the Southwest flight attendant’s joke.
