LISTEN: Da'Shawn Hand explains why he's expecting Alabama to bounce back in a big way in 2019
Following the 2016 season, the Alabama Crimson Tide lost to Deshaun Watson and the Clemson Tigers in the College Football Playoff title game.
The Tide came back to win the title in 2017, but it sounds like that offseason was brutal for the Alabama players.
On Wednesday, former Alabama DL Da’Shawn Hand (now with the Detroit Lions) joined SiriusXM Radio and said he’s confident Alabama will be ready to play next season:
Despite losing to Clemson in the national title game, former Crimson Tide star & @Lions DT, @TheHand54 believes Alabama will be more prepared than ever next season to make another championship run.

“Clemson, they came with it that day,” he said. “But I’m not too worried though. Winter workouts, it’s going to be real this year. Yup. This spring, yup. Spring conditioning will be real. They’re going to be ready. You know, this is going to fuel the motivation tank, for real.”
Nick Saban’s teams are great at using defeat as motivation, so expect the Tide to come out even more focused in 2019. That’s a scary thought for opponents.
