Mac Jones’ Alabama history leads FOX NFL Sunday crew to reach same conclusion

Mac Jones is in the hunt to be the best rookie quarterback in the NFL this season, and he can thank his Alabama roots for helping him get there with the New England Patriots.
That’s the unanimous opinion of the FOX NFL Sunday crew, who all said Jones is the best not necessarily because he’s the best player, but because he’s in the best situation. Jones was the last quarterback taken in the first round in the spring NFL Draft, but as Curt Menefee pointed out, Jones has the most wins of any of the rookie QBs.
“I think he’s already played for Belichick because he was at Alabama under Saban,” Terry Bradshaw said. “Perfect marriage.”
Michael Strahan added, “This is like his 5th year in the pros because he played at Alabama.”
The FOX crew of Strahan, Bradshaw and Howie was asked if #Patriots Mac Jones is the currently the “best rookie QB” because he’s the best player or because he’s in the best situation.
