The Alabama defense has been ravaged by injuries this year, including one to star DB Minkah Fitzpatrick, who went down with a hamstring injury during the LSU game.
Though he still managed to play in two of the Crimson Tide’s remaining three games, he wasn’t at 100 percent, and that affected Alabama.
However, on Wednesday, he said he is feeling much better and promised he’d be fully healthy for the Sugar Bowl on New Year’s Day:
Minkah Fitzpatrick on his nagging hamstring injury: "It's almost 100 percent. Even when I'm here I'm doing different stuff, icing up. I'll be back to 110 percent next week."

That’s great news for the Crimson Tide, who should have most of their injured players back in time for the College Football Playoff semifinal game against Clemson.
They’ll need a fully healthy Fitzpatrick and plenty of depth at the linebacker position if they’re going to knock off No. 1 Clemson for the second time in three years.
