Five-star linebacker Lyndell “Mack” Wilson watched Saturday’s SEC Championship Game as a neutral observer.

That’s because the two teams battling for the conference title are also two teams that are battling for his signature on Signing Day.

Wilson revealed on Saturday that Alabama and Florida are currently his top two schools.

Only two days earlier, Wilson had narrowed his list to five schools. But the Crimson Tide and the Gators apparently have the lead on LSU, Georgia and USC, at least for now.

The 6-foot-2, 220-pound Wilson is the No. 1 linebacker in the country, according to 247Sports, and the No. 12 player overall. He is a standout at Carver High in Montgomery, Ala.
