When Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide are coming after a player, you know he’s good. When you’re the coach of a rival team, though, having Saban in the mix is terrifying.

For Nebraska’s Scott Frost, learning Saban was visiting one of his top targets was enough for him to pull out all the stops.

After learning that Saban had visited 4-star DE Ty Robinson out of Arizona, Frost packed up all 11 Nebraska coaches who can go out and recruit and they all headed to Arizona to spend time with Robinson (via MSN.com):

“You have 11 full-time coaches who are allowed to come out (to recruit),” Higley coach Eddy Zubey said. “They all came by the school and hung out with Ty all night.”

“Coach Frost said he never did this before,” Zubey said. “They’ve done nine, but not 11. They stopped recruiting everybody else in the nation for one day.

“They said he was their No. 1 priority. This was set up before. Scott Frost was going to come out. But when they found out that Nick Saban was going to be coming back, I think it became all 11.”

Will Frost’s bold move pay off? Only time will tell, but Robinson now has a tough decision to make.

Per the 247Sports composite, Robinson is the No. 16 strong-side defensive end in the 2019 class and the No. 5 overall recruit from the state of Arizona.
