NFL.com college football writer Chase Goodbread wrote about an amazing tidbit he heard from an NFL exec recently: Every member of Alabama’s front seven will be drafted in rounds 1 or 2.

One caveat to this is that not all seven will go in the same NFL Draft. Five members of the front seven are currently seniors, while NT Da’Ron Payne will not be draft eligible until at least 2018.

Goodbread first looked at the five seniors, citing a colleague’s assessment that DL Jonathan Allen and LB Reuben Foster are both projected first-round picks. He also noted that OLB Tim Williams said his past draft feedback was first or second round. In his opinion, LB Ryan Anderson is comparable to Williams and could be drafted similarly. Of the seniors, Goodbread’s biggest question mark, from a draft perspective, is DE Dalvin Tomlinson.

When it comes to the underclassmen who could go in this year’s draft, junior LB Shaun Dion Hamilton is close in stats to Foster.

With four of this six’s solidly first or second round based on previous evaluations, it’s certainly not out of the question for all seven to be first- or second-round picks.
