Year after year, the NFL Draft class is loaded with former Alabama players. It’s safe to say that Nick Saban-era tradition will continue in 2020.

“Every year it’s the same thing,” ESPN analyst Todd McShay said on recent a conference call with media members. “With (Xavier) McKinney, Jedrick Wills at tackle, Jerry Jeudy, Tua Tagovailoa, Trevon Diggs, who was inconsistent at times but is so physically gifted as a former receiver with ball skills. You have (Henry) Ruggs, Anfernee Jennings, Terrell Lewis. It’s just insane how much talent Alabama has. You’re talking about nine, 10 guys that could go in the first three rounds this year.

“They were well-represented, let’s put it that way.”

McKinney, Wills, Jeudy and Ruggs are featured prominently in a new “Best of Alabama” video of NFL Scouting Combine highlights the league shared on Wednesday. Ruggs posted the fastest 40-yard dash time of the 2020 class and tied for the fourth-fastest 40 in Combine history with a time of 4.27 seconds (.05 seconds slower than record-holder John Ross). Jeudy, meanwhile, clocked a 4.46-second 40-yard dash. In the video, below, you can hear an NFL Network analyst rave about Jeudy’s elite route-running and ability to create separation from defenders.
