Alabama’s coach met with the media on Monday to preview Missouri week but unfortunately, he had some bad news to share during his weekly press conference.

While Nick Saban noted the challenge this week will be a big one facing, the “best team we’ve faced offensively,” that challenge has become intensified due to the news that defensive back Trevon Diggs was injured in the game against Arkansas.

“Trevon Diggs broke his foot in the game on Saturday. I did not know about this until yesterday. He will have an MRI, so he’s out indefinitely,” Saban revealed on Monday.

The junior is a starting cornerback in Saban’s defense and is tied for third among SEC defensive backs with six passes defended this season. He has 13 tackles and one forced fumble this season and was named Alabama’s Defensive Player of the Week following the Lafayette game. He was also included on the preseason Paul Hornung Award Watch List.
