Nick Saban has not addressed the infamous ‘Horns Down’ gesture with his team ahead of Alabama’s Week 2 bout against Texas.

The gesture is considered a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty per the Big 12, though non-Big 12 officials may not call that type of conference-specific penalty Saturday. Saban made it seem like he did not know it was a penalty in the Big 12 Wednesday, either that or he was being snarky with reporters.

And he’s definitely never done that before.

“I have not addressed it with the team,” Saban said Wednesday, via Al.com. “But I appreciate you letting me know that. So we have a lot of other things we need to worry about but I think that’s a good thing for me to go over with the team so I appreciate that.”

The Crimson Tide are set to face Texas at Noon EST on ABC Saturday. Alabama is looking to improve to 2-0 as heavy favorites against the upset-minded Longhorns.
