Nick Saban is the greatest college football coach of all-time, and it’s always interesting to get inside his mind.

After games this year, Saban has been doing a breakdown of one of that week’s key plays. Following a Saturday win over Ole Miss in Tuscaloosa, Saban broke down one of the Tide’s touchdowns in the 42-7 victory.

As you can see below, Saban explains what happened on a late-second quarter touchdown pass from Bryce Young to TE Cameron Latu on a 4th-and-1 from the 3-yard line:

Saban explains why the play worked, as the Tide had run to the left side from similar formations several times earlier in the game.

It worked to perfection, making the score 21-0. The Tide would add yet another touchdown before halftime, taking a 28-0 lead into the intermission.
