When Alabama opens the season at Missouri on Saturday, the Crimson Tide will be as close to full strength as a football team could hope for following a rigorous training camp.

According to Nick Saban, Alabama will be down just one player for the season opener — at least, due to injury. Saban would not comment on any players being out due to COVID testing or quarantine.

Former Junior college All-American defensive back Ronald Williams is the only injured Alabama player that has been ruled out for the game, Saban noted on Monday.

“The only guy that we have out due to injury is Ronald Williams,” Saban shared on Monday. “He fractured his arm, in practice, about a week ago. So we know he’s out for the game but other than that. We don’t have anybody who’s out for sure, but you know we’re testing every day, so that’s kind of an ongoing process as to how that goes.”

Williams was one of the nation’s top overall junior college prospects in the 2020 recruiting cycle. He signed with Nick Saban’s program over Kentucky, Mississippi State and Texas A&M after being rated as the No. 4 JUCO cornerback in the nation.
