Alabama LB Keith Holcombe is a dual-threat athlete, playing both football and baseball. In fact, he’s one of the Crimson Tide’s best hitters, batting in the middle of the lineup and playing a solid outfield.

With the Tide playing on the diamond this spring, he’s missing out on the football team’s spring practice sessions.

On Tuesday, coach Nick Saban confirmed that Holcombe would miss the rest of the spring, but hopes he’ll return to the football team for the fall:

It’s not often athletes are able to play two sports full-time in college, but Holcombe is doing his best. After missing the spring, though, it’ll be interesting to see what his role is this fall.

For now, his focus is on leading the Crimson Tide baseball team, which is currently 16-5 and playing some great ball.
