Nick Saban shares his thoughts on the Big Ten's decision to return to play this fall

The big news in the college football world on Wednesday was the Big Ten announcing it would, in fact, have a fall football season.

The season will start on Saturday, Oct. 24, as things stand now. This comes after the conference originally announced it was postponing the season amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

On Wednesday, during his evening press conference, Alabama coach Nick Saban was asked about the B1G’s decision and said he’s happy for the players:

Saban on the Big Ten's decision to play football this fall: "From a players' perspective, players want to play. … So, I think it's good for the players who want to play. I'm happy for the players."

Saban has been very pro-player throughout the process of returning to football, so it’s no surprise what he said on Wednesday night.

Now, we’ll see if Saban and Alabama end up meeting a B1G team in a bowl game or in the College Football Playoff at some point this year.
