Nick Saban unintentionally calls out Vanderbilt fans for not supporting their team
In the SEC, every road game is a battle, especially with some of the big stadiums and raucous crowds visiting teams face.
However, when Alabama coach Nick Saban was asked about difficult places to play in the SEC, he said they’re all difficult, before adding that Vanderbilt fans don’t really come out to support the team.
As you can see below, Saban said Alabama usually has more fans than Vanderbilt when the Crimson Tide visit Nashville, which was certainly the case this year:
Nick Saban on difficult places to play in the SEC: I haven't been anywhere (that isn't) — maybe Vanderbilt, no disrespect to Vanderbilt, they have a small stadium and we usually have more fans there

Vanderbilt has a small stadium, yes, but the Commodores still have trouble filling it up when teams besides Alabama visit.
In fact, for this weekend’s game against Mizzou, it’s likely to be a small crowd, especially since the Commodores are 4-6 and haven’t won an SEC game yet this year.
Meanwhile, the No. 1 Crimson Tide will likely have a full house at giant Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday, even though the opponent is only lowly Mercer.
