Alabama is getting set for a trip to Auburn this weekend while hoping to get a number of key players back from injury.

The Tide rolled to a 56-0 over Mercer on Senior Day but will be in store for a hard-fought contest when they take on the Tigers.

Alabama’s defense received a boost from freshman LB Dylan Moses in the win over the Bears as Moses recorded 11 total tackles and an interception. Moses was named a Player of the Week by the Tide coaching staff and is undeniably talented, but Nick Saban would likely prefer to be at full strength when taking on Auburn.

Unfortunately, a number of Alabama’s contributors are still waiting to be cleared to play. Maria Martin shared Saban’s update of a number of players on Monday that includes three LBs:

Minkah Fitzpatrick is certainly one of the leaders on the defensive side of the ball, and getting him back should provide a boost. Saban was noncommittal on the trio of injured LBs, and it will be interesting to see if any of these players can make it back in time for Auburn.

Alex Byington also shared Saban’s update of injured OL Ross Pierschbacher:

J.C. Hassenauer started at LG in Pierschbacher’s place against Mercer. Hassenauer was named the SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week for his performance, but going up against Auburn is an entirely different challenge.

It will likely be tough to secure a win in the Iron Bowl regardless of who is available. Missing these players would only make the task that much tougher.

Kickoff for Saturday’s game is set for 3:30 pm EST on CBS.
