Nick Saban wants the Alabama crowd to make an impact on Saturday when the Crimson Tide takes on Ole Miss.

Saban brought up the gameday environment in Tuscaloosa during his Wednesday press conference.

“This is probably the first big game that we’ve had here now for like a year and a half,” Saban told reporters, per AL.com’s Mike Rodak. “Because of last year’s COVID. I know we’ve had a couple of home games. But this is an SEC game at home for the first time in a couple of years. I hope our fans are excited about it as our team is.”

Rodak adds that Saban said it was “really, really tough” when Alabama played at Florida in Week 3 and he hopes fans can “make it that way for Ole Miss” on Saturday. This will be the Crimson Tide’s first home game against an SEC team that will have full capacity at Bryant-Denny Stadium since the Covid-19 pandemic.

The game will take place at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
