The Alabama Crimson Tide are moving on in the NCAA Tournament. Alabama knocked off Virginia Tech 86-83. Alabama shot an impressive 60 percent from the field, including 44.4 percent from behind the three-point line.

Freshman standout Colin Sexton led all scorers with 25 points. Sexton also recorded three rebounds and six assists.

The biggest surprise of the night came via reserve guard John Petty, who chipped in 20 points off the bench. Petty was on fire from beyond the arc, draining six three-pointers.

As one would expect, No. 8 seed vs. No. 9 seed clash was close. The Tide and Hokies played a tight game all night, with neither jumping out to a big lead.

Things are about to get tough for the Crimson Tide, however, with No. 1 seed Villanova the opponent for Saturday. The Wildcats knocked off No. 16-seed Radford 87-61 to advance to the round of 32.
