Former Alabama RB Josh Jacobs is dealing with a legal issue after he reportedly was charged with a DUI following an early-morning single-car crash near the Las Vegas airport.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police confirmed that Jacobs was booked this morning in connection with a crash around 4:40 a.m. at the McCarran Airport tunnel near Sunset Road. Police said the crash involved one vehicle and that impairment was suspected, Fox-5 KVVU reported. The incident came hours after the team returned from a season-finale victory at the Denver Broncos.

According to court records, Jacobs was released from police custody Monday. His next court appearance is set for March 8.

Jacobs was transported to a local hospital due to minor injuries resulting from the collision, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN reported. After treatment, he was transported to the Clark County Detention Center where he was booked for DUI.

Jacobs rushed for 1,065 yards this season, with 12 touchdowns.

On the field, Jacobs has had a great start to his NFL career. He was the 24th overall selection in the 2019 NFL Draft, and joined Hall of Fame running back Marcus Allen as the only players in franchise history to be named Offensive Rookie of the Year after becoming the first rookie for the Raiders to surpass the 1,000-yard barrier on the ground.
