Alabama has qualified for the College Football Playoff all four years since its inception in 2014, and that makes sense given the Crimson Tide’s 50-3 regular-season record throughout that span.

Yet even during that dominance, one team has proven to be a real thorn in Alabama’s side.

Ole Miss, which hosts the Crimson Tide on Saturday, has managed to split the last four games against college football’s modern dynasty. According to a tweet from the SEC Network, all other teams are 1-48 against Alabama during the regular season since 2014.

That’s a major accomplishment for Nick Saban’s squad in the rugged SEC, but the Rebels have proven to be pesky in recent years.

Though Alabama drubbed Ole Miss 66-3 last season, the previous three meetings were wacky, down-to-the-wire contests. The Rebels sprung a pair of six-point upsets in 2014-15 before the Crimson Tide salvaged a 48-43 road win the following year.

All in all, Alabama dominates the series with a 49-11-2 record. But when the teams meet at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Ole Miss will certainly be looking to chip into that deficit — and continue its recent success against the Crimson Tide.
