Former Alabama star Collin Sexton has quietly blossomed into a heck of an NBA player during his career with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

However, the Cavs are reportedly looking to trade the young star instead of paying him a massive contract extension. Therefore, trade talks are now open involving the ex-Crimson Tide point guard.

Per a report from NBA insider Shams Charania, the New York Knicks have emerged as perhaps the top suitor for Sexton via trade:

The Cavaliers reportedly might be interested in Obi Toppin as a prospect in return for Sexton, according to the New York Post.

Sexton averaged 24.3 points and 4.4 assists per game in 2020-21, both career highs. He also averaged 3.1 rebounds and 1.0 steals per contest.
