Report: NFL team expected to trade up to draft former Alabama WR Jerry Jeudy
In the 2019 NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos picked former Missouri standout Drew Lock. Now that Denver has found its apparent long-term quarterback, it’s time to get him some big-time playmakers in the passing game. A long-time Colorado sportswriter is reporting that the Broncos are likely to trade up to get former Alabama wide receiver Jerry Jeudy.
Colorado Springs Gazette columnist Woody Paige shared the tidbit this weekend on Twitter. Denver holds pick No. 15 in the 2020 NFL Draft but realizes Jeudy is unlikely to drop below the top 10. Trading to move just 5-7 spots up, as Paige’s sources suggest, shows that the Broncos obviously have an extremely high opinion of the Biletnikoff Award winner.
It could go either way. Don’t believe Broncos stay at 15. My sources tell me they go up to 8 or 10 and get Jeudy.

When one Denver fan shared his doubts that the Broncos move up, Paige stood by his reporting with a strong response:
I respect your right to have a wrong opinion.

As for the proposed trades, the Arizona Cardinals currently hold pick No. 8 while the No. 10 selection belongs to the Cleveland Browns. The first round of this year’s “virtual” draft will be held on Thursday.
