Stephen A. Smith and Tim Tebow hopped on ESPN’s ‘First Take’ to talk about the two titans of the SEC, No. 1 Alabama and No. 2 Georgia.

The Crimson Tide this week face Texas A&M, while the Bulldogs play a one-loss Auburn team.

Tim Tebow believes that the Crimson Tide should be worried about Georgia.

“Absolutely,” said Tebow. “If you watch them play, if you look at that defense, if you look at all the playmakers and how physical there are on special teams. I think if there’s a question mark for Georgia it’s how will their offense handle big games? How will they handle press coverage? Do they have enough playmakers on the outside? This team has a chance to be up there with some of the great Alabama defenses of the past. Multiple shutouts against really good teams. They’re scoring more points as a defense than opposing offenses are scoring against them. I think if you’re Alabama you have to look at them and go we have to play our best game.”

Georgia is currently ranked first in FPI, fourth in offensive efficiency, first in defensive efficiency, and first in points per game differential.

However, Smith thinks Alabama should be fine going into the matchup with the Bulldogs.

“Mere bag of shells if you’re Alabama,” said Smith. “I remember how you were talking to me about how Ole Miss was gonna give Alabama a run for their money. They were held scoreless in the first half, 35 unanswered points by the Alabama Crimson Tide. Georgia’s defense is legit, I get that. Their offense? That is an entirely different matter. Scoring 1o points against Clemson.  They are number 2 for a reason. You gotta play both sides of the ball.”
