Alabama QB Mac Jones had a big game against one of the best defenses in the country in Georgia, and ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit took notice. The broadcaster made Jones his top performer this week.

Jones led Alabama to a 42-24 victory, and had a 219.5 passer rating. He passed for 417 yards while completing 75 percent (24 of 32) of his passes with four touchdowns. It was also Jones’ third straight 400-yard passing game and the Tide had eight explosive plays 15 yards or more, including touchdowns of 40, 17, 90 and 13 yards.

Jones leads the nation in a host of categories, including yards per completion (16.87) and yards per attempt (13.2), while ranking second in completion percentage (78.3) and passing yards per game (379.5).

Elsewhere in the SEC, Herbstreit also honored Arkansas’ Grant Morgan, who led the team with 19 tackles, three tackles for loss and a pick-six in win over Ole Miss and now leads the nation averaging 13.0 tackles per game.

At South Carolina, Herbstreit was aware of Jaycee Horn’s performance with pair of interceptions and four pass breakups in the win over Auburn.
