Ahead of Saturday afternoon’s matchup against Auburn in the Iron Bowl, current ESPN college football analyst and former Heisman winner Tim Tebow offered Alabama quarterback Bryce Young some advice on how to handle the Iron Bowl.

The context here is important. Alabama is already a lock to play in the SEC Championship Game against Georgia next Saturday, and how does Alabama make sure it does not overlook Auburn?

“Man, I tell you, this Iron Bowl — we’ve been here the last couple of days — this is crazy,” Tebow said on SportsCenter. “This is all the people in the state are talking about and thinking about. Yes, next week, they’ll move on to Georgia. But this is crazy.”

“Listen, Nick Saban’s career, he’s 3-4 on the road against Auburn. Against everybody else, he’s 48-5. Listen, when Nick goes over to Bryce Young, and he says, ‘Listen, I have a losing record here.’ That’s going to perk Bryce’s ears up a little bit.”

Tebow also says Alabama better not overlook Auburn either.

“Auburn hasn’t had the success they have wanted this year, but when they walk into Jordan-Hare Stadium, you know you’re in for a real game and in for a real fight. I know people are talking about Georgia next week, but Alabama better pin their ears back and be focused because Auburn is going to give them everything they got this afternoon.”

The Iron Bowl kicks off at 3:30 ET on CBS.
