Tua Tagovailoa entered Sunday’s Miami-New York game to a raucous ovation from the Dolphins crowd. The Dolphins were beating the Jets 24-0 with just 1:54 left in the fourth quarter.

The former Alabama quarterback hadn’t seen any NFL action until Sunday’s game — the NFL didn’t have any preseason games, and he entered to a huge ovation from the crowd.

Even Dolphins quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick was getting into it.

Tagovailoa handed off his first snap, but he completed his first pass attempt on the second; however, it wasn’t good enough for a first down. The former Alabama quarterback starts his NFL career 1-of-1.

He then completed a pass for a Dolphins first down.

The Miami Dolphins drafted Tagovailoa with the No. 5 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, and make no mistake about it — he’s the future in Miami.
