Alabama QB Jalen Hurts was at the Crimson Tide’s baseball game on Thursday as a special guest.

The SEC Offensive Player of the Year from 2016 got the opportunity to throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the game, and certainly didn’t disappoint.

As you can see in the video above, Hurts decided to show off his strong arm by firing a fastball to the catcher. Though the pitch was a little bit low, the velocity was still impressive.

Hurts clearly had a good time taking part in the pregame festivities, taking to Twitter shortly thereafter to critique his own performance:

The rising sophomore may be rusty with a baseball in his hands, but he hasn’t forgotten how to throw a football, as his four-touchdown, zero-interception performance in last weekend’s scrimmage will prove.

Though we probably won’t be seeing Hurts on the baseball diamond anytime soon, he does receive bonus points for looking the imaginary runners back before starting his pitching motion. That sort of field awareness will only help him this fall.
