The Clemson Tigers have a talented quarterback in Kelly Bryant, but Deshaun Watson was an all-time great college quarterback.

The Tigers are still the No. 1 team in the country heading into the College Football Playoff, but this time around, FOX Sports analyst Joel Klatt thinks they’ll have a tougher time beating the Alabama Crimson Tide.

In the video below, Klatt explains that, of the 1,061 yards Alabama has allowed to Clemson the past two years, 941 of them could be directly tied to Watson. Therefore, he says, Alabama has a big advantage:

“I think if you give Nick Saban this amount of time vs. a young quarterback who was inconsistent — played good down the stretch — but inconsistent during the course of the season,” he starts. “You get healthy if you’re Alabama… I like Alabama. I like Alabama to beat Clemson. I know that’s a less-than-popular pick. A lot of people are riding with Clemson right now.”

This time, the Clemson-Alabama matchup isn’t for a title, but the winner of the Sugar Bowl will advance to the national championship game.

Therefore, it’s sure to be another all-time classic, as Saban and Dabo Swinney are two of the best coaches in college football right now.
