The No. 1 recruit in the country is in Alabama – Tuscaloosa to be exact – and he wants to make sure everyone knows.

Kayvon Thibodeaux, a defensive end out of Oaks Christian High School in Thousand Oaks, Calif., is a 5-star recruit with a 247Sports Composite score of 0.9992 (for reference, RB Najee Harris had a score of 0.9984). He is currently uncommitted. Fifty percent of recruiting experts have submitted Crystal Balls to 247 predicting Thibodeaux signs with Florida State, but 11 percent are predicting Alabama lands his signature.

A lot of factors play into recruiting, but it’s fair to wonder if FSU’s subpar start to 2018 (1-2 with losses to Virginia Tech and Syracuse) will play a factor in his decision. For now, it looks like Thibodeaux is ready to enjoy his day in Tuscaloosa watching No. 1 Alabama (3-0) take on No. 22 Texas A&M (2-1).

Thibodeaux hints at more videos to come throughout the day via his Twitter account.
