This may be the best response to those upset at the College Football Playoff Committee’s decision to pick Alabama for the fourth spot.

The top three spots in the Playoff were awarded to Clemson, Oklahoma, and Georgia after winning a conference championship Saturday and finishing with one loss. Alabama was then awarded the fourth spot over Ohio State. The Buckeyes did win a Big 10 championship, but finishing with two losses, including a 31-point defeat to Iowa, apparently doomed the team.

The decision to go with one-loss, non-conference champ Alabama created a stir among many fans and analysts. Talk of needing to expand the Playoff heated up once again, but ESPN personality Ryen Russillo provided perhaps the best response to complaints about Alabama making the Playoff.

Russillo made the point that he has no bias in the college football debate as he attended Vermont where they do not have college football. He encouraged fans to listen to him over the other analysts, all of which are “biased” in some way.

In the end, Russillo says fans should be happy with the Playoff matchups as the results indicate “bravery” from the committee.
